The science behind the warmth
When wool socks aren't enough and a hot shower is still hours away.
At the heart of every EirWaves Slide is a small piece of clever engineering. A reusable heat pack designed to deliver instant, soothing warmth exactly where you need it. Slip it into the dedicated pocket on top of your slide, flex the metal disc, and feel the heat spread through your toes within seconds. No need for batteries or charging cables. Just dependable warmth, ready whenever the cold catches up with you.
Activates in seconds
About our hot packs. A gentle flex of the metal disc triggers crystallisation inside the pack. The non-toxic sodium acetate snaps from liquid to warmth in seconds. Reusable, low-touch, off-grid ease of use.
Therapeutic warmth, not burning heat
The pack reaches a peak of around 54°C, warm enough to ease cold, tired feet and support muscle recovery, but never hot enough to burn. It's the same temperature range used in therapeutic heat therapy for circulation and recovery, delivering sustained, soothing warmth for around 40-60 minutes per activation.
Reset and reuse hundreds of times over
Once the pack has cooled and the crystals have set, place it in boiling water for around 10 minutes. The heat dissolves the crystals back into liquid form, resetting the solution and storing the energy, ready for the next activation. There's no fixed lifespan. As long as the pack is intact, it just keeps working.
Non-toxic and skin-safe
Nothing harsh. Nothing hidden. The solution inside is naturally derived, CE and MSDS certified, and safe for direct skin contact, free from the chemicals you'd find in single-use heat products.
